It’s Time to Consider Rancho Santa Fe

Looking for a little more room to roam? Rancho Santa Fe may be just what the doctor ordered. With the recent changes to where we work, educate, and live, Rancho Santa Fe checks all the boxes and provides a safe space for the entire family to grow.

The beauty and serenity of this tree-lined landscape offers a feeling of seclusion, yet it is  located just 4 miles inland from the Pacific Ocean and the neighboring beach towns of Del Mar and Solana Beach, and only twenty miles north of Downtown San Diego. Rancho Santa Fe rests gracefully at a slightly higher elevation than its sister towns, extending over approximately 6.5 square miles of hills and bluffs.

The neighborhoods within Rancho Santa Fe are truly unique, as homes in this area are often custom-built estates that dwell on a generous amount of rare coastal land. From Spanish and Mediterranean styles to modest ranch style homes, the architecture ranges widely, and homes are often surrounded by a well-landscaped grove of trees and greenery.

With over 150 Listings in June, there are plenty of choices, but you better hurry. Active Listings are down 34% from one year earlier. Days On the Market are also down by 47% compared to last year. The word continues to spread, as homes Sold are up 63% when compared to May of 2020. Prices are increasing as well. The Median Sales Price in June of 2019 was $2.25M. In May of 2020, it was $2.4M, and in June of 2020, the Median Sales Price was $2.42M.

With all that being said, you can’t beat this gem. Rancho Santa Fe residents truly appreciate their community and stand together to preserve and maintain its historic character. Clubs and organizations of Rancho Santa Fe are a signature part of this community and include the Rancho Santa Fe Golf Club, Rancho Riding Club, Rancho Santa Fe Community Center, Tennis Club, Rancho Santa Fe Historical Society, Rancho Santa Fe Foundation, The Playing Fields, Rancho Santa Fe Senior Center, Rancho Santa Fe Association, and RSF Art Guild.

‘The Covenant’ is the historic part of Rancho Santa Fe covering approximately 6,200 acres, with approximately 1,700 households residing within its boundaries, and was actually registered as a California Historical Landmark for its status as a historic planned community.

The outskirts of the Rancho Santa Fe Covenant share equal beauty with homes resting on land overlooking wide-open spaces that span to nearby canyons and hills.

The town center presents a few short blocks of quaint but elegant little shops, boutiques, businesses, nearby post office, and prominent restaurants including the fine dining destinations of Mille Fleurs, Nick & G’s, and The Inn at Rancho Santa Fe.

A prized selection of distinguished schools are located within Rancho Santa Fe. The public education choices are outstanding with several schools receiving recognition as California Distinguished Schools. Torrey Pines High School and Canyon Crest Academy, are both recognized for their excellence in public education. The surrounding private schools are attractive choices to explore such as Diegueno Country School, Horizon Prep, Santa Fe Christian, and The Nativity School. Each of the private schools has exceptional educational merit for children of all ages.
